I have type 4a/4b hair, the brush works perfectly to detangle my hair. This is one of the best brushes I have used on my hair while wet. I would definitely recommend especially if you prefer to detangle your hair before starting your wash day routine as my hair was completely detangled throughout my wash day routine after using the brush once.
I love this brush! I have 4A curls and this thing makes wash day a breeze. My 19 month old son loves it to and it completely detangles his hair. He’s not afraid of it. He actually enjoys it a little too much to the point I can’t use it because he’s playing with it lol
It makes detangling my hair so much easier. The brush is pretty big and feels really well made. I don’t have to worry about it breaking while I work through knots. Highly recommended.

It did detangle my hair. I'm not sure it was a whole lot different than my denman brush. I DO like how sturdy it is. My hair is a 4b/c so it is super coily and prone to tangles. Overall, it is a great tool to have in your natural hair care kit!
