I am terrible with appliances. I found this and bought the wrapping cream to go with it. I first made the mistake of sleeping in them. I looked like a poodle. I have learned that with the cream it just needs a few hours for it to dry. I then finger comb some kind of style. I can take these with me in my suitcase. You are given a huge number. I have medium length hair and don't want a mop of curls. I use about seven. They come in large and small. You want the hair to be nearly dry. It needs to be a bit damp but not right out of the shower.

I have very strait hair. These curlers really curl your hair. The only drawback, if you have thin hair they tend to fall out easily. I wrap my head and they stay in however without a wrap, they will fall out easily. I even used them on my daughter who has hair past her hips...curled her hair beautifully!

"These work great!" -- according to my wife. She reports that they are simple to wind up and that they are comfortable to wear. Since they're made of silicone, it will take a bit longer for your hair to dry, but once it does, the curls are nice and tight. She wore them to bed one night and said they were not bad for sleeping in either, although one fell out during the night. Anyway, these get a thumbs up from her.

Practice makes perfect with these, but they work!
I have medium thick wavy hair, about shoulder length. Took about 20 minutes to clumsily put them in the first time, the second time was faster (about 10 min). Slept in them overnight (with provided net) and woke up with curls. Curls were a little tight, but I brushed them out for a more relaxed and vintage-y look.

Definitely need hairspray to have them hold or they WILL fall.
